Systainer T-LOC I with Milwaukee M18 Fuel 1/4 impact clearance issue

Is anyone storing non-festool 18V impact drivers or drills in Festool T-LOC I systainers? I'm about to go that route and ran into a small clearance issue.

Milwaukee M18 Fuel 1/4" impact has a removable metal belt clip on its side that prevents the lid on T-LOC I from closing fully. If that belt clip is removed, lid closes fine and even the charger and batteries fit without any problems (unlike a makita 18v LXT charger and impact which won't even fit in a T-LOC I).

Unscrewing the belt clip each time drill is stored would take valuable time. Are there any quick-release belt clip systems available?

Have you tried positioning the clip in different places in the Systainer?  There is more space in the lid in some locations than others.

I keep my Milwaukees in T-locks.  I have may M12 system tools in two in Syst 1's and all my accessories in a Syst Drawer 9.  I keep my M12s (hammer drill, impact driver, 3/8 driver, and grinder with 4 batteries) in a Middi.  I have pretty much put every tool I own in systainers.  I do service work up to 3 hours out, so i never can be sure what I need.  Systainers have made organizing my van a joy.

Have you looked at these?

I have them and they work great.  They used to be a promotional item from Festool in Festool colors.

Optional ladder hooks are available as well.

Or, here is another one that might be a bit smaller as an option - same company...

Would you be willing to post pictures of your M12 - sys stuff?

I, too, am heavily invested and enamored of the M12 line and would love to see what you came up with. I have a dedicated M12 hex driver and an impact driver that need to find a Systainer home - along with their chargers and spare batteries for sure, and maybe their assorted bits and things.

Vladiator,

I'm new to 'FOG' to I can not post photos yet, but in another thread here on FOG someone posted photos of putting his M18(s) in a systainer III. He built a plywood top tray for two drills and used the space under the tray for the charger and drill bit index boxes.

Thank you for all your replies...

I tried positioning the M18 fuel impact driver in many ways and that metal belt clip gets in the way. It'll have to go and I might try the Bigg Lugg hook with the plastic ball. It seems to be a neat idea.

This week I have received 4 Tanos Systainer I's and big sheet of black 57mm Kaizen foam so the organization will begin. I will post photos when I'm done. :)

Late to the thread, I put my M18 drill, impact and charger into a Sys 2 Vari. I left the top and bottom foam and it all fits.  Quite snug but it fits.

I'm about to go through this with an m18 Impact driver and drill.  Can you guys post picture of your setup to give me ideas/suggestions. Thanks.

I did go ahead and put my M12 stuff in a Sys1 and it fits perfectly. I am aware that the M18 stuff is larger, but perhaps this will help:
