Does anyone know the maximum weight systainers take? I am curious because I generally keep mine in stacks about the height of a sys 5 and they get pretty heavy sometimes.
tanos listed a 30 cm. dia. center loaded rating,I believe it was 100k,maybe more, what ever it was, I said to myself that wont be exceded by me,and I wont use them as step stools
I should have been more specific... I have no doubt that the stack can support its own weight just fine, I am more concerned about the T-loc connection and the handles giving way if I have my compressor, nailers, fasteners, etc. all in a stack together and I pick them up. Sometimes it feels close to 60#.

Not sure what you mean with the # sign, but I assume it won't be kilos or stones, so it's probably pounds. I often put 60 pounds in a single systainer No 4 or 5, a stack of them together can be a lot heavier. I mean, a LOT.

Pound or pounds is correct, I forget the audience here is more diverse than I am used to!
I was trying to be conservative, and I also try to keep things in stacks of sys 5 height because the stack easily fits in the side compartments of my truck cap. Grab two stacks and put your tool bag on top, wheel into the house on a hand truck - saves my back.

i keep wondering the same question- but i assume the designers stress tested the design thoroughly on cad before going into production. i do use the old style sys 4 as a step stool all the time, that way i dont need to put a ladder into a taxi getting around nyc to do residential installs. works great in most situations.
