T15+3 Beeping

I recently got a Brand spanking new T15+3 in the sale that Festool were promoting. However it was a replacement for one i sent back due to being Faulty.

Trouble is, i don't think i got a completely fault free replacement. When i put some torque on it by driving in a screw, I get a different beeping sound to one i get from my other T15. I know what the beep sound is like for a dead battery ( 1 beep) and its completely different. I get a 2 tone beep, and its not from stopping due to too much torque. I've tried a couple of different batteries too. The other thing i have noticed is that the high speed used for drilling holes is considerably slower than my other T15 too.

Have i got another faulty drill or have Festool changed the way the drill beeps and slowed down the rotation speed too.

Are you sure the clutch isn't engaging? It will beep twice if memory serves when that happens. You can completely override the clutch, if it's not necessary to use for your application, by switching from the screw icon to the drill icon on the top of the drill. Or, increase the clutch to a higher setting.

As for the speed, the lower clutch settings (1-10 roughly) slow the speed of the drill.

It sounds like you may have it in screw mode with the clutch set very low.

Im sure the all the settings are correct. I've owned 1 for 2 years now fault free. i set the new drill to 1 (the low speed) set to screw option, set the torque to 25 and it still stops and beeps. I can even hold the chuck and pull the trigger and it will cut out and beep. There is no way i can even come close to doing the same thing with my other T15.

Should i send it back for further testing?

i had 1 back from repair like that and sent it back they said it was fine and sent it to my dealer who tried it and wasnt happy so sent itthem again. it cameback with new motor, electronics and motor housing.
