Just to say that I purchased my T15 drill in May 2010.
It got knocked off a bench in the early days but was unharmed  [smile]
It has seen a lot of hard work including mixing lime plaster for a big old farmhouse and last weekend while helping my brother replace the conservatory roof he dropped it over 8' (2.4mtr) onto the deck  [eek]

It bounced.
Totally unscathed and working.  [big grin]
Has to be the best investment in a cordless drill I have ever made and I went through most other makes before this one. None lasted seven years of light duty and the batteries on this one are still the original ones.

If anyone is thinking of buying a new cordless drill and concerned over the extra up-front cost of a Festool one, the three I had before the T15 cost more combined and did not come with the extra chucks and when the batteries failed the cost of new ones was almost as much as the drill.

Rob, a happy chippy  [smile]

Same here, own mine since 2009, best drill I ever had and still going strong. Only the batteries have noticeably shorter life now. Luckily I have 4 of them.

I own 2 T-15-3 drills, got one used for $100.00. Oldest is 7 years used one 6 years. Drills have not skipped a beat----still using the same batteries. Well worth the investment.

Bought mine during the year they came out. It fell off of a scaffold ~ 12' or so and broke the handle in half. Festool fixed it. Been working great ever since with no problems.
Yes the upfront cost is scary for a lot of guys. However, I can't count how many big box promo packs that guys I know have bought, lost or tossed since I bought the T15.
When working in better environs its less of a problem. However for those of us working in the City theft is always a big concern. When I was working only as a contractor full time I would loose $2-$3K every year in tools from theft. Didn't matter what we did, stuff would just walk.

I loaned a musician friend some tools, about ten years ago.
He cleverly parked his truck in East Garfield.
I'm wagering it took less than 3 minutes. 😂
