Just bought a basic T18 and all was going well until i tried to shut the systainer lid after fitting one of my batteries to the drill, it didnt fit!  After a bit of cursing I worked out that if i removed the protective frames from the battery it would fit.
These protectors came included with all my other battery kits and it will be a pain to remove them every time i put the drill away.
Anyone else have this problem?

Yep I have the same issue..Crappy design by Festool on this one. I got it to work by modifying the part of the systainer that was hitting the bumper and by pushing really hard on the drill while it was seated in the insert. after doing that I was able to get it to seat enough that I can close the systainer relatively easily. Still no perfect since you have to put a bit of pressure on the lid to get it engage the lock.

I just got the PDC18...I'd like to fit the battery bumper on my C-15. how do I get the belt clip off so I can put the bumper on??? I don't want to break off the plastic clip holding the metal belt hanger on.
Thanks.
btw. I don't see how this thing fits over the PDC18 battery anyway...couldn't get it on....

Just rotate that plastic square-ish clip receptacle 90 degrees and you can gently pry the clip off.  You should be able to do so pinching it with your bare fingers. :)

Yes, and there shouldn't be any prying required. I have some that you rotate the black square and the metal belt clip just falls off, and some that you rotate the black square and then slide the metal belt clip to the side and then it just comes off.

I must have been hallucinating , now I can't find one that doesn't just come straight off.

Yes, sometimes they simply fall off when the square knob is rotated. Sometimes they bind a little and need to be wiggled out.

I havent' a metric tonne of experience - but have removed and replaced a few. Just going by memory. :)
