Hello,

I am new here. Sorry I searched but could not find the answer.

I have CS50 table saw and I am looking for a wider (6mm) grooving flat top blade. Can you recommend a site in the UK or Germany to get one from? It does not have to be original Festool.

Also, I want to build a saw sled for cs50 and I was wondering if there are any aluminum tracks that can fit in the very narrow grooves of this table.

Many thanks

Sorry plam, but a blade like that is not available for the CS50 and the saw will not take it. You can only fit a standard blade with a width between 2 and 3 mm on it.

Search for Woodworking wizard (Ian Shortland RIP) He made a cut off sled for his CMS which you could use on your CS 50. Heres a photo of a box joint sled he made for his CMS. It can easliy be adapted to be a cut off sled.
He passed a few years ago.

I had the pleasure to meet him during my time in the UK

What Alex & Jobsworth said ^

I have the CS 50 and have been thinking of making runners that fit the narrow T-track. This is yet not something I have prioritised though.
If you you don’t have the widening table attached (or the sliding table) as I have, the V-groove is perfect to use for this. As Jobsworth mentions, it’s applicable to both the CMS and CS 50 (So also CS 70 - but this is wider overall)

Peter Parfitt, a member here and a must see YouTuber with Festool equipment has done a sled for his CMS, this episode was posted recently.

Remember, as the CS 50 is a sliding saw, you could make a sled that you just afix to the T-track and dimension it in length to the movement of the blade..

Yep, just use the v grooves on the side to guide the sled.

But considering the CS50 is a pull saw, I'd figure you have less need of a sled than on a normal table saw.
