I have an 800 sq. ft. house I'm flooring next week in Pergo Defense (higher end, 14mm thick compared to their normal 12mm) and currently only have the universal blade for the Kapex. Should I get the laminate blade just for this project? I won't have a use for it again after this. Is there an alternative I should consider? Or just use the universal blade I currently have?

NVM, decided to just roll with the Festool laminate blade for the carvex.

Laminate flooring will eat up any blade. A jigsaw is first choice. The jigsaw blades cost less & make less dust.

Oshlun makes a laminate blade for the Kapex that works well. It needs to be installed with the labeling facing inwards (learned this the bad way)

I used it for 600sf of flooring, and it was still suitably sharp after close to 100 cuts.

Laminate will also eat up normal jigsaw blades. But the Festool 204269 blade will last way way way longer. I've used a normal blade for laminate and after 3m it was degraded to burning rather than cutting. I've used Festool's 204269 blade for more than 30 meters and it's still completely sharp.

Even if you have a Kapex, you still need the jigsaw blade anyway for all kinds of detail cuts. But also having the kapex is gonna be a lot easier of course.
