FYI, Tapatalk 2 was just released for iOS...not sure if for android yet or not. I thought I'd let anybody know who may be looking into an app to browse the forum. Tapatalk original is still going to be supported supposedly, but I paid the $1 for the new version and its very much like the Tapatalk HD app for tablets. It's put out by Quoord if you wanted to find their site to check it out!

Just wanted to put that out there!

I just hate these companies that make one app version for the small screens and another (usually more expensive) one for tablets. Tap-a-talk, Angry Birds, etc.

To me that's just extortion since universal apps have been the standard for a few years now.

Ergo I'll have to stick with TaT 1.x since atleast I can use it on both my iPads (in stretch mode) and iPhone.

Pitty really since the app is good - I just don't want to support their monetizing model.

Reiska, I do agree that it's frustrating to buy an app for one device and find out its additional for an "HD" version, etc. I am happy to pay a buck or two for apps that I find useful to me. It is frustrating when a dev doesn't bother to fix bugs, etc, but I'm happy to support devs that support their product and continually improve on their foundation. I'm not arguing wether it's worth it or not for anybody else, but for Tapatalk (for example) I'm happy to pay $1 for a nicely upgraded version that somebody spent time on.

I do see your point as well...just so you know!

Bob
