TCS 55 vs. Mafell-KS400 (batt. pow)

I get it, I just agree with another poster when I think its tough to compare the two saws..

Anything can be compared as I previously stated.  Ill stay out of the thread, I dont want to cause confusion. I'll leave the post stand for anyone that wants to see the pdf's and these miter system saws.

Doveltail65, again, this is not some review of the two machines. Only how I ended up with Festool TSC55 instead of Mafell KSS400. I do the same think when I need something, not just run and buy and then think.

You are doing a direct comparison of two different machines. It's in the thread title, "vs.".

I am not saying the OP is doing anything wrong in anyway nor reviewing, but comparing. Maybe a language issue. Review for me doesn't mean compare.. Anyway I posted to help if I am not  I apologize. Anyone can compare any two tools they like. It's not a big deal and anyone's choice of how they choose a tool is totally justifiable. Their reasons for choosing a certain tool are their own. I only commented to arm others and the OP with information. I am not saying anyone made a wrong choice. All the tools we are talking about in this thread are awesome. So now really, I am out of this thread.

I love the tcs 55
Now if I could just try the Maffel ks 400
Does anybody in the southern Conneticut area have one

It is hard to be objective. People with TS55 love them as much as MT55 owners love their machines.
Comparing across platforms is also sultaneously easy and difficult.

We speak the same language (barring the use of zeds instead of esses) but I have re-read this and I think we've had a misunderstanding.

I was agreeing with you, the OP has confused things by reviewing/comparing (whatever he wants to call it) two completely different tools. I was referring to his comment to you about not reviewing them confirming in my mind that's he's the one that's confused.

Anyhoo, just my £0.01
