Template Shaping Cutter Shootout

Thanks for the review Steve.  I got the Whiteside bit last year (got to expense it for a job I was doing!) and have been very pleased with it.  The finish is superb, and the two bearing design is great for freehand template routing, when you have to flip the template upside-down to shape the corners and ends.  But as you mentioned, this feature limits the thickness capacity to slightly over 1", so for anything thicker I have to employ a two inch straight pattern bit.

BTW, that's a strange looking collet you have on your router -- what is it exactly?

It is an Eliminator RC.  I did a review on this last year.
