Testers for Syslite Duo!!

[member=41214]Phil Beckley[/member] I tried signing up for this yesterday, but the form doesn't work. Whenever I try to submit it, it comes up with an error message saying it can't be submitted, please try again later.

I'm not alone, both the Facebook and Twitter pages have comments from others reporting the same problem.

I must admit the cynic in me thinks this is a very clever move from Festool - instead of having a competition to win a product, you get people scrambling to win the chance to borrow one for a few weeks. AND you get them to write reviews of the product for you too! And all it costs you is a few freebies...

But like I said, that's just me being cynical - I'm sure Festool wouldn't have even considered something so underhand!  [big grin]

Having said that though, I did still try to enter... [blink]

[big grin] [big grin] [big grin]

what you dont get to keep the item youre reviewing? just me but why would anyone want to waste their time? if i wanted to see how it works ill use the festool 30 day trial.

I saw the Syslite Duo demonstrated last week and it really does throw out a lot of light for such a compact unit. A perfect bit of kit if you are working in rooms ahead of the sparks or indeed if you are that very same person.

Nope , you get a T-shirt ,hoodie and a folding rule
To add to the ever increasing mountain of t-shirts, hoodies and folding rules!

How does one progress to a jacket?

You do get a syslite duo to keep if you are selected. Go to the very bottom of the page that you register on and it tells you that you will get a new one posted to you.

No, you get to keep it for 4 weeks, then you have to send it back...

Tried yesterday gave up to it deleting everything I put into

Hi
We have asked why some users for this 'Duo test' are experiencing problems and we are waiting for the reply.
Unfortunately I am unable to help as my I.T experience is limited to 'switch it on and switch it off' any issues between these two modes I give to someone else  [huh]

I tried too, filled out the form and clicked the button and lost all the info I'd just typed in lol

Thanks Phil I would have loved to have done the review for this seen as I got a sneak peek before the launch. But I am just going to buy it instead when the funds allow

Submitted my application this morning..especially after hearing that you get some goodies, you keep the tool and you get to do one of those 5 minute supermarket sweep things with a trolley in your local Festool dealers.  [tongue]

Having already purchased one of these beasts, I will not be entering this little comp, but to all those 'lucky' enough to win, have the wife prepped for a new addition to the family. There is no way you will be wanting to return it.

Working in a dark ensuite today with sunlight coming in through the bedroom door, duo pearched in the corner, it was all but impossible to see where the natural light stopped and the duo took over

Next time someone says: "why doesn't Festool ever ask for user feedback", I guess there will be this.
