I recently received my replacement part for the Boom arm and wow, what a difference.

So I'd like to thank all the folks at Festool USA, and Festool Germany.

I'll third that.  It works nicely.

One unintended benefit is that the arm is slightly harder to swing.  When I first tried it, I thought that it would be a hassle.  However, now it stays where I put it and doesn't move quite as much.  Overall, it's a nice improvement in quality AND functionality.

Dan,

I keep a wax toilet ring (new & unused, of course!) near my bench to lube screws when needed. A little dab on a paper towel and I coated the end that rotates - works great.

Who do I contact to get the replacement part? Using the boom yesterday I noticed some significant sag for the first time.

Pete,

I wasn't clear.  I do NOT want it to swing more freely.  I'm happy that it's slighly stiffer.  It still swings nicely, but now it stays were I place it.

Thanks,

Dan.

John,

Contact your dealer.  They can arrange it.

I don't know why you'd waste money on a new wax ring when there are so many used ones for free.

Mine also swings freely and stays where I place it. What are we talking about?

Welcome Toki. Nee how ma? That's all my Chinese.
