My 3 year + jig saw was in need of repair. Sent to Festool in IN. Back in a week. Cleaned, greased, new base, blade guide, shoe, 10minutes labor & shipping all for less than $55.00. I cannot say enough good things about the service I have received.

Thank You Festool. It pays to buy quality.

I've been lurking for a bit, and doing a fair amount of research in regards to setting up my own small shop in the limited space that I have. I'm somewhat new to woodworking, and haven't made the financial plunge into serious tools just yet.

It's posts like these that are helping me make up mind - thanks for sharing!

Don, I always share posts like these with the fine people that work in the repair department of Festool USA.  They always do such a phenomenal job.  And we all appreciate hearing positive feedback from our customers.  I have witnessed first hand the lengths to which the service department goes to provide every customer with this level of service.  I think this stands as a testament to our commitment of providing customers with the best tools and best service in the industry.  Thanks for sharing your experience, Don.

Craig, welcome to the forum.  We look forward to hearing more from you.  Feel free to jump right in and ask questions.  We have a great group of members anxious to share their experiences and answer questions.

Craig,

I will second the welcome.  As you are setting up your shop, please feel free to ask questions regarding Festools or others.  Many of us here have several Festools but also have  and have had experience with other tools and would like to help others avoid the bruises and wasted money we have accumulated along the way.  We are here to help.

Just to add my two cents; Festool's repair department - under Les W and Dave M (still) are second to none. Having met and spoken to them both sooooooooooooooooo many times, I  can and will proudly attest to their knowledge, commitment  to helping the customer and most of all, their downright  plain decency. Am I wowed by them? You bet.

Craig,

One of my brothers lives in Palm Springs.  As you go down the slope I might need your assistance to explain the slippery green slope to him.  He doesn't get it when I try. [thumbs up] [thumbs up]

hi don and welcome to the fog.

i recently had my ps300 serviced by festool here in australia.
i was amazed that they completely replaced the chuck which holds the blade.
when all i thought it needed was new carbide guides!
this was done free of charge as the jigsaw was only 2 years old.

and this is the reason i am happy to pay a little extra when it comes to buying festoys!

regards, justin.

When I start down that slope, I'll take some pictures of the tools in the sun, by the pool and some palm trees. Maybe that will help  [cool]
