Hey All!

This is not a review. I do not speak enough English to do it. I just want to say that i'm amazed about my T15!!

I'm a heavy user of battery tools. I have a marina and we assembly boats over 20 feet. In board and outboards from 150hp to 496s. For this operation we use a lot battery drills, impact drivers made by Makita. So I got used to it.

The T15 is a new class of drill and driver. You can't compare it to nothing on the market. And when you use it with the Centrotec Set (Product No. 498 796), you have all it's power in your hands.

The electronic torque control is not a BS. It really works and if used correctly, you get the repeatability that you always dreamed of. Amazing!!

The chucks are awesome, very precise an useful. The battery gives all the power you need for any task you have for drilling or driving bolts whit precision. I was looking for precision screw driving, not a lot of power. If I need power I use my 18V impacts. Using the T15 I got all the precision I was looking for.

One more happy Festool customer!

Obrigado, Ari, I am trying to decide between the T15 and T18, your comments have me thinking T15 will be a good choice.

Do not worry about your English, it is no problem to understand and it is tanto melhor than my Portuguese.

Jeff, obrigado a você!!... [wink]

The T15 choice was based on delicate driving and good drilling. But I'm sure you get the same precision on the T18. I just made my option on T15 because I have several powerful drivers and drills. If I did not, I would buy the T18.

Thanks a lot and hope I could help.

The T15+3 is my most used tool ever.  Since buying it my 18v dewalt drills and drivers are never used except when a hammer drill or impact driver is absolutely needed. In fact I haven't put it in its sustainer since I bought it years ago.  This is my go to drill/driver for sure.  Also having the centroec set is a plus.  I take that everywhere I go and never have the wrong setup.

Tim, T15 definitely is a new generation tool with nothing similar on the market!! I'm glad I have one.

I've had a handfull of drills before, but none of them made me so happy as my T15. Love the smoothness, the control and the power in a still lightweight package. The battery seems to go forever. And the greatest benefit is the Centrotec system it comes with. I love the quick change system.

Only negative I could mention of the T15 is the electronic torque. I can't get consistent results with it. Different speeds at the same torque setting get different results. Not good. Minor inconvinience for me though, since I do it mostly by eye.

I have a t15 and love it to death but the t18 adds more power and the weight difference is barely noticeable in the hand. Been considering buying a non kit version of the t18 and moving the t15 home

I have around 30 different drill/drivers/impacts used in several different businesses from Milwaukee 2.4v production screwdriver to Bosch 1 7/8" Rotary Hammer.

The ones that stand out and really impress me are the 14.4v Panasonic Impact, Makita 18v Brushless 3-speed Impact, the CXS, the T-15, and the 36v Bosch Cordless SDS Rotary Hammer.

The T-15 has all the power I want in a drill without an add-on handle for your other hand. If you bind it up, it will twist you around very hard. If you are buying the T-18 to get more power without the ability to add a second handle, I hope you are prepared. Hopefully young and strong also.

I suppose there is no "right" size and the choice between T-12, T-15, or T-18 depends on the job and the person.

How are you Alex?

I took some time learning about it's electronic torque and I'm getting good results. I made this video that shows what I'm talking about. I dedicate some minutes trying the best adjustment and get it ready.

Hope you like it.

Greg, the Makita 18v Brushless 3-speed Impact is perfect. I have one too. Now parring with T15, I'm ready!! [tongue]

Thank you guys for all the opinions
