What's weird is FESTOOL guys never told us about this.

Nice photos jolly. I did the same on my TS55. Found the information on another link on this site.
I spoke to a festool chap at one of there road shows, he said that I had return the saw to Festool to calibrate it!

Maybe the road show guys were not told either. [unsure]

When I called service a number of months back the first answer I got was to send it in because I needed a reliably dead flat surface to make the adjustment properly. After a few more communications, I did get direction on this method which is easy. I actually just used the MFT top for the flat surface (after checking it first) and got the desired result. It is a little difficult to get the adjustment made and tighten it down at the same time so that it stays at 90 degrees, but once I did it, the 90 degree stop has stayed in place and, so far, has been perfect.

Could someone give a little description as to what we are looking at?  I have never actually changed the angle of the saw as the craftsman style furniture we generally build is all square cuts.  I would love to know for future projects however. TIA

Yeah a description would be awesome. I just got my TS 55 REQ and haven't come across a project until today. I did make a few test/just for fun cuts and when I put the cut up against my square it looked good but if this will ensure 90 degree then I'm all for it.
