Hey guys. First off I need to apologize for not participating more in what is one of my favorite forums to read.  I promise to remedy that.  In the mean time, I thought you all might like to watch my latest video where I give a little preview of the MFK700, the OF2200, and the MFT3.  By no means is it a comprehensive review, its just me talking about what I like.  Its also me getting some details wrong (as you will see), lol.

So if you are so inclined, here is the video:

Oh and if anyone wants a chance to win a free MFK700, check out our May FesCool Giveaway.

Thanks everyone and have a great weekend.

Marc

Marc,
I really enjoyed the reviews you did on the new products. I have to agree with you though that MFK 700 looks like the tool of the year. Great function for edge banding, and who hasn't skipped a router bit across some veneer before. Ouch. This will be my new Festool purchase. Thanks Again.

Welcome Marc.  I have enjoyed visiting your website for some time and it's good to see you starting to participate here.  I hope that we will hear more from you.

Hey Marc! How come I never win the Fescool giveaway? I know my abrasives by heart  ;)

Glad to see you're posting. The more expertise, the better. What a great forum!

Hi Marc,

Welcome, Like your vids funny and informative, the one about the visit to the lumberyard was pretty similar to my own experience.
Just substitute the gum chewing girl for a smoking fat guy ;D

Frank, what makes you think Marc's starting to participate here?  Seems like he's dropping in to promote his web-based business, much like he does on SMC.  I also like his website, but let's be realistic.

Regards,

John

I too have paid a few visits to his site and yes it looks like a promo to me too.

I get his podcasts all the time and enjoy them, he couldn't really be like that!

Let's look at his stats. Member for 15 months, total time spent here - 44 minutes. Total posts - 1, Topics started - 1. But I thought he said we were one of his favorite sites to read?

I don't think we will be hearing from him any time soon. Why does he think we are so stupid. At least be honest with us. It makes me doubt his integrity while promoting/advertising to me.

Years ago when I used to work on skyscrapers the guys had a favorite  expression, " You can't bullshxx and old bullshxxer" :-\

I think you guys are being a little harsh, especially for someone that has been an ambassador for Festool. Marc has chosen a path by which to make his way in the world and it seems pretty benign to me in the grand scheme of things. Bob and Timmy and Bill in Seattle have commercial interests and we are not disparaging them. True, they contribute a lot to this forum, sharing their knowledge, solutions, and humor on occasion. Timmy, for example, is not shy about promoting his business but, when taken in total with everything else he brings to the table, I don't find it intrusive at all. Let's ease off a little.

May be it has to do with the Festool monthly contest which may increase the FOG forum popularity ?

I think Marc put a lot of time creating Video podcast, ... with a good sense of humor
he brought useful tips and help to novice and confirmed wood worker,
so I guess we can give some credit, of course he is promoting his site, but it s fair game we can 't blame him for that

On the other hand we all wish to have him participate more to the forum !!!

cheers

Welcome Mark!!

Look forward to your participaction on the FOG.

By the way, how many Fescool contest entries do you get month to month? I never win. WOuldn't hurt for you to announce "Dan Clermont is our Fescool Winner this month"  ;D

Welcome Marc!

I'm another fan of your pod casts. Looking forward to your input here.

Hi Marc, Thanks for the video. I'm about to get a MFT3 /TS55 package so it is great to see this type of presentation. I am also a big fan of your podcasts!

Keep up the faith, Dan.  It could happen to you. I got an e-mail from Marc on Thursday indicating that I would be the recipient of an ETS-125.  Based on the announcement at his site, it was for real! Of course, I would have preferred a Kapex, but that isn't available yet.

Good luck to all. Lets hope that we FOG members get well represented on his giveaway list.

For the record, I am the one who administers the random drawing for the monthly winner and I'd be glad to take bribes :)  Congrats on the win, Charles!

OK Shane - is the bribe amount for this months drawing greater than or equal to $510? ;D
