The new RO 90 DX multi-mode sander --- What are your questions?

Do we know what the Canadian dollar price will be yet?
I am betting that it will be precisely $474.37 or $474.38, depending on whether they are generous or not in their rounding.

Go ahead, ask me how I came to that number.

I think that ALL the sanders should have an appropriate accessory kit (available not just as a promo). So yes I would want one here as well.

Oh yes, here is example of accessory kit for RO-125, but I would like to see similar for RO-90. This kit includes all pads, some sandpaper and polishing accessories in systainer.

Regards,
VictorL

I agree that an accessory sander systainer kit would be great. It is an easy way to introduce the buyer to add ons that they not normal buy.

I am certainly interested in an abrasives package. The abrasives for my RO-125 take up considerably more storage space than my RO-125 systainer. Will there be a hydraulic assist for squeezing the abrasives into the systainer?

Charles.

Funny, Charles. You need one of those vacuum bagging systems you see on the infomercials.

Ok, so I have to call out Darcy (WarnerConstCo on the forum). He came by HQ today for a visit and got to fondle a lot of yet-to-be-released new tools. You guys need to hit him up for his impressions. Among the things he saw were the RO 90, CXS, Workcenter, UG Kapex cart, and T-Loc systainers. He said the RO 90 was a lot smaller than he expected. He had a chance to take it for a spin.

Be sure to pick his brain. I figure he should be getting home right about... NOW!  [popcorn]

OK Shane, I'll bite, what is the Workcentre?

Sorry, Frank. It had been talked about on here before so I didn't elaborate.

It's an accessory that attaches to the top of the CT 22/33/26/36 to provide additional functionality for storing and organizing tools and other items. It's adjustable in height, has peg hooks, shelves, etc. You can still store quite a few systainers on the CT when it attached. More information will be coming. Expect to see this in Spring of 2011 in US/Canada.

Thanks Shane and Peter.  I guess that I didn't do my homework at the time when the workcentre was mentioned here before.  [embarassed]

I can see that it would be of use to many folks, but I have already built my own equivilents so don't need to purchase this.

The RO 90 was much smaller in person then it looked in pictures.

I was really surprised how well mannered it was as well.

That work station is pretty slick as well, things like that seem like a no-brainer for introduction here in NA.

They are not very easy to tuck under your shirt and try and sneak out of the building with. [cool]

The cone of silence has been lifted.

I played with the RO 90 back in July while I was attending classes.  This little sander is a no-brainer.  It rocks.

The Carvex - it also rocks!  It will be a great addition to the Festool pendulum saw line here.

I will own both of these puppies one day!

I am uncomfortable adding too many specifics at this point because the units that I played with were pre-production evaluation units and there might have been changes.

Peter

I don't understand the mystery on price. I can't find it anywhere and it seems a reasonable piece of information to have when announcing a new product.

WHAT!!!!! That is a killer price, they are £378 or $590 in the UK!

You may have to wait a while in NAINA land but you get Festool at a very good price!

Not the slickest first post I've ever had in a forum but...

At the current exchange rate they are USD$807.49 here.
We pay through the nose in Australia.

Festool make up for it by being brilliant tools and having the best shade of green ever devised.

any pricing on the accessories yet? or a direction on the Systainer of sand paper?
