TBH it's nothing new for first release Apple products to be FUBAR. Been there done that before. Once the kinks are worked out its great but not so good on the bleeding edge. My thanks to the lab rats for doing what you do.
Normally I would agree entirely [wink] ... I see a difference in magnitude here and as I was expressing, a very different community feel. Obviously time will tell.
My time as an Apple devotee goes back to 1984, have seen a lot of FUBAR in those 30 years. OS changes were notorious for killing 3rd party software on the first release. Common practice to have a dedicated workstation just for compatibility testing before bringing upgrades to production. Especially problematic back in the OS9 era and then into the OSX change along with the PowerPC to Intel conversion. About the only reason I stayed on board was it generally was easier to use for the graphics work I was heavily involved in and also dealing with legacy files. And they've had many hardware bombs as well. Lisa, 20th anniv Mac, Apple 3, Newton, Pippin, etc. Remember the early iPhone 1st generation was new and cool but was a really lousy phone? Or their really messed up Maps release? There's been lots of fuming about Apple over the years but we'll see in time how things now play out
without Jobs to smooth things over.
