They're Here! The New Anti-Fatigue Festool Floor Mats

Received mine today!

Now I'm waiting for Festool curtains, bed sheets and comforter.  That way the wife will let me put the floor mat at the foot of the bed

and everything will match in the bedroom.  [tongue]  [big grin]

I wonder if Rob Lee would be bringing any of these into Canada?

I sent an email to LV customer service, and this is the reply I received albeit without any indication of Canadian pricing.

It looks like we will be getting these in and offering them. This is so new to us we do not have it set up as yet but have been told that by the end of this week we will have it in our system plus a delivery date. So if you don’t mind checking back with us on Friday for an update and if we find out before hand we will contact you.

Cheers,

FOR CANADIAN CUSTOMERS....

UPDATE: The Festool Anti Fatigue Mats that Lee Valley is getting in Canada are not the same size as the ones previously/orinally mentioned in my first post when I started this thread that are 2" X 3" sized mats in the US for $75 USD.

They will be 3" X 5" in size instead, and LV should start to receive stock on the 23rd of May. They will sell for $14X.XX + Tax(es) in Canada, and they can be ordered in advance ONLY by calling LV customer service at 1 800 - 267-8767. The SKU # is ZAM0156. IT IS REQUESTED TO NOT TRY TO ORDER IN THE STORES. This is a promo item with limited quantities. The first shipment will only have 80 mats for all of LV Canada, and based on my discussion today with Marty it is unknown at this time if they will be receiving any further, although they possibly will.

I've ordered mine over the phone for store pick-up using my credit card, which they will not ding me on until the mat ships to the store.

And no, I do not work for LV Valley or have any incentive otherwise in relaying this information.

Further, while LV so far seems to only be carrying the larger 3X5 mat, it is not to say that other Canadian Retailers would not have the smaller aforementioned 2X3 originally brought to our attention by Tom Bellamere in starting this thread.

By the way, my flat feet and me both thank you for starting this thread. [smile]

Wow, you must have very small feet!

Can I get a 3' x 5' mat in the US?

Daniel

The 2x3 is perfect in front of the mft. 3x5 will not fit in front of it, correctly anyway.

Maybe the Canadians are getting all the bigger sizes. I specifically asked, I think yesterday, about the 3'x5's and was told they are unavailable. I'll have to check again...

Tom

EDIT:
I agree with Skids that the 2x3 is about perfect in front of the MFT or a CMS. In a tight shop, the 3x5 might be excessive.

I measured mine before giving the OK to place the order.  It just fits where I want it, which is in front of my TS.  My old one is toast, and I'd been wanting to get a new one but hadn't got around to it.  This was the perfect excuse.  [big grin]

Not to take sales away from anyone..But the 2x3 is great, then you can get the same material from Wal Mart in 3x5 for $10 each. Thats what I am doing, mainly because of cost but also I don't need several mats that say Festool in them. Just one shows off my obsession just fine.

Okay, you guys have gone too far!  I mean, c'mon!

I walk into the salon to get my hair done and this is what I see?

The proof is in the image.  I have heard that this forum is like a beauty salon a few times.  [poke] [popcorn] IT IS!  [thumbs up]

I have more of the 2' x 3' size but can't seem to find the salon version or bigger size. I'll keep trying...

I've heard it said that everything is "BIG" in Texas.  Not for those Festool AF Mats it seems. [sad]

What's funny is that the 3 times I've been to Texas, no matter the size of the BBQ belly, every guy wears a size 32 waist.  It looks weird enough to notice.  They must do that super-model thing and lay on the bed to shimmy into those industrial-strength jeans
