I am struggeling to  find  hammer A3 31 in the UK does any one know where I could get one for

I also like the Laguna Tools XSD310  the only thing I dont like about it is the fact to convert it to the planer the  top beds fold the wrong way I think most of them fold up to the side of the fence but this one fold away from the fence which means you have then switch sides for working  but it looks solid so I like it.

I like the Hammer A3 31 looks solid has good accessories for futrure when I save up more money and the bed folds what I think the is the right way!

Just where can I get one in the UK and what price am I looking at in the UK

I looked at that website had to register so thought maybe some you know a local shop I could go to plus dont like giving details out just to find out the prices and eveything on the site.

Thank you!

One of these went on ebay uk a few days ago for about 1400 UK pounds...although they don't seem to come up often.

Me, I'm keeping my eyes peeled for the Hammer bandsaw, which looks awesome.

I think Dan Clermont has one of these, actually, if my memory serves well. I think he rates it highly, so it might still be worth the cash!

My workshop is totally equipped with Hammer machinery, and while it is expensive it is worth it. If you want I am happy for you to contact me and make a visit to try it out. I also know the Hammer rep at Milton Keynes who is a great bloke and I would be happy to put you on to him.

I recently bought the n4400 and love it (use a 25mm blad for resawing mainly, motoro barely strains), be warned though you need to make some additional wiring preparations as its draws 13.5 AMP so you need a minimum of a 15AMP circuit. Don't bother with the mitre fence extra, very cheap, I would recommend going for a Kreg add on from axminster

That's useful feedback Matt, thanks!  I've only really really heard good things about it, so am looking forward to finally getting hold of it.  Neill's been after one as well, I think...maybe he'll chime in to give an update on whether he picked one up or not...

For the wiring, because I had the consumer unit in the garage, with a 32amp seperate ring for the garage, I insalled one of these on the ring

I managed to pick a new one up on ebay for ?50

Alternatively you could get a 16amp breaker fitter if you have spare capavity, or an aux consumer unit. Don't even try a 13amp plug, it will blow the fuse immediately.

Registering for the web site isn't a big deal...they'll probably call you after you register (assuming its the same over there as here in the states). The call was actually very informative for me and was a pleasure to talk to the guys. I initially ordered the A3/31, then ordered a N4400, then canceled my order for the A3/31 (only because I found a steal of a deal on a Felder AD-731!). Felder's customer service thus far is top notch. And if you can imagine Festool's level of quality in stationary tools, thats the difference. My Unisaw looks like a toy compared to the AD-731 (and even the N4400). Just as with Fes, there have been a bunch of "huh...that's pretty smart" moments, particularily as it relates to getting things adjusted and aligned perfectly. The only thing I didn't like about the deal was the lack of a local dealer, so I had to pony up for freight....ouch...

That ebay sale is located in Rochdale!!!! Not a very good place lol!!!! Dodgy place. I had a nightmare buying a brand new car I ended up not getting the new car it never arrived! Had to fight for my money back.

I know I know befor any starts having ago at me its not all dodgy just gotta be aware of it!

I mite contact to him to have a look at it in person!!  Going to see Guy Ashlys work shop to have alook at his Hammer machinery I will be able to compare difference and see if the ebay one runs the same maybe.

Seems sensible. I think on the ebay listing it says he also has the bandsaw, table saw and stuff as well...not sure what the setup is!  Let me know how you get on though if you make it back alive.
