I'm looking for some ideas for small things to make that would be good to sell for some extra income .thanks in advance

I made a couple butcher blocks for Christmas gifts a couple years ago.  After Christmas the orders came in fast to make more.  I made over 50 of them.  It was good money when working with scraps.  I was getting $100 each.  The process was fast with a drum sander.  I had about 45min from start to finish with each board.  Hope this helps.

I have made timber fire surrounds out of 18x18mm and 40x18mm fast and easy. Also free standing timber towel ladders look great.

Are you married?
My Mrs had me build her something and showed me a bunch of site that sell the stuff that she was interested in.
Or maybe ask a sister or female friend.

To [member=40772]Holmz[/member] point, it depends a lot on your available network of connections. My old dad made a couple of dolls houses for nieces and people saw .. talked .. instant demand!!

Next thing to consider is your setup .. breadboards, etc can be easy with the right tools, or a challenge with the wrong ones.

Something as simple as number templates for house numbers with a creative finish (mdf and some spray paint) could even earn a few bucks if you have a suitable scrollsaw or bandsaw, etc.
