Ticked that the new Systainers....

All the systainers should lock in a stack.  If you are trying to lock T-Locs onto T-Locs you need to put the one on top down onto the one below diagonally (exaggerated) starting with the rear edge.  That will engage it.  Finish up with the T loc on the front and you should be set.

If you are trying to mix and match old and new, the new can latch on top of the old but not vice versa.

If this doesn't make sense after reading let me know.

Why not?

Huh?  If anything they lock together in a stack easier.  You just need to rotate the knob 90 degrees and it lockst he systainers together.

I'm only ticked (not really ticked) that there's no t-lock sortainers. Don't see how they could do it but I like to keep my stacks in an order and use them as a portable tool cabinet

There is the issue.

If you want the new, under the old....no go.  [sad]

Gotcha!  I stopped even trying to put the old systainers on the bottom since the front tabs on one of my tlocs broke easily.

Yah,

They don't play nice together  [sad]  If you are half way through your wish list, I'd pick one style or the other.

I have just recently taken the Festool plunge.  All of the new tools are in the T-Loc systainers.  I do have a C12 in the old box.  I have been trying to find a source for the insert so I can upgrade this to a T-Loc.  Does anyone have a good source for this?  Thanks in advance!

I expect that you can cut small pieces out of the insert in order to fit into one of the new sysrtainers.  The material in the inserts is quite flimsy and ease to cut.

Hi Steve,

Welcome to the FOG!  [smile]

You can try cutting the old one to fit the new T-Loc as Frank suggested. I have done this for a couple.  If you do cut either use a knife cutting from the interior towards the edge or snip very carefully with scissors. The nature of the plastic tends to cause the cut to go further than you might want.  In effect it splits.

You can also order the insert  by calling Festool service the # is in my sig line.

Yeah, but they're not colour coordinated so your collection doesn't count.  ::)

With the locks facing different directions too. My ocd can't take that.

Nice pic Kreg.

Not just the T-Loc orientation and the colors ... look at the mixed identification methods ... I think he needs to take them all down and re-do his homework!
