Ticking off my local dealer

Good thread, but I fear that the issue is much too complex for my poor little brain, so I'll just say this, as a couple of other guys have in different ways. If the local dealer has it in stock on the same day I want to play with it, he gets my money. If not, most likely Amazon does. As previously said, the local guys usually don't have it...and you usually have to tell them where to look for it and what it's for...and after the fact you find out that he didn't even place your order until a week later...egad man, a B & M has but one purpose to serve in my book. Have it in stock, period. I have been reading about it for weeks, I know what I want, I know what it does...Gimme! :) I'm in Montana, yet another state sans sales tax, so that's not really an issue to me. This thread made me realize how much money that sales tax costs you fellas and I feel for ya.

I browse the net to see what Festool products I want to buy next from my dealer. lol

Complaints about 13% sales tax so why no complaints about a 20%+ price hike because of Festools no discount policy?

We had that price fixing nonsense here in the UK some 40 years ago until the law changed...good riddance.
