Hi all, new to this site so thought I'd throw in a question re setting the toe-in (or should it be toe-out) for TS55/75 (mines a 55). I've read several posts now that talked about setting the correct toe-in, and one from a grumpy chap who complained about Festool incorrectly setting a toe-out on his saw. Indeed, my saw has just come back from Festool and it has been set with a toe-out, that is with the front slightly out from the rail than the back. To me this actually makes sense as the rear of the blade is on its downward stroke and so if the good cut is to be on the piece under the rail that should be the best setting? However, 99% of the posts talk about toe-in (which I would interpret as front in to the rail). I've just bought some metal plate jigs off eBay for setting the toe-in (that's how they are advertised - toe-in) and I must say they seem at first use to be a must for any TS55/75 owner. I flipped the plate and set a toe-out as Festool had done, I just did it closer to my existing strip. Anyway, the question after all that ramble is, is it toe-in or toe-out, or is it both depending on what you are cutting??
Many thanks
