A big thank you to Warren at toolfest Woking and the Festool staff for putting on a great demo this morning. We all had a go with the new domino xl , impact driver and the sys light. Very impressed with domino , quite heavy but still ok and while plunging even the largest hole it doesn't kick or jerk at all. Got a chance to meet a few interesting people some of them members here. Tea and hot dogs for everyone  and on the way out we were given freebies so I went home with a Festool tape measure  [big grin]

Very kind of you to come along to our little event, and good to see old and new faces alike. Thanks to Tom, Angelina and Sue for all their hard work today. Fortunately there was a spare FESTOOL branded beer glass left at the end of the day so I'm giving it a full test this evening and with post a review detailing its' features and benefits soon.

As an occasional customer - trying to support my local festool supplier rather than buying online - it would be interesting to know how you publicise these events - or perhaps you don't and it is just for certain 'special' customers like Chris

Well, he advertised it here on the FOG, so it wasn't invitation only. Maybe you missed his post? I'm sure he will have advertised it in the shop too.

I was just on Warrens email list and as Jonny said Warren did post on here about it you must have missed it. He's done one before but I didnt go this one was quite good apart from the Festool demo it was good to chat to some other Carpenters see what other people do etc.

PS Ive probably only ever spent a few hundred with Warren so couldnt be regarded as a "special" customer  [laughing] There were some real Festool nuts there saturday though who buy everything  [big grin]
