Tools Festool should make

I'd love Festool to make a flip over mitre saw. Sliding mitre saw one side, table saw on the flip side. Incase they are listening I would pay £3k plus for one.

Also they should make a 36v battery mitre saw for little to mid size cuts.

What would you love festool to make?

I think the range is lacking:

A 10.8v drill that is truly compact and the battery fits inside the handle like Bosch/Makita/etc.

An OF1400 version with two normal handles like the OF2200

A heavy duty 3 function 18/36v SDS drill.

An 18v impact driver.

A jigsaw without the issues of the carvex and comes equipped as standard with an integrated tilting base.

18v handheld planer.

I think its become obvious that you think everything is lacking.

Personally, i don't think they should try to make one of everything, sounds like a good way to get to the bottom first.

I would like to see them make some compact stationary machinery again. There is room in the market for that class of machine.

It is this type of comment that gets these threads way off base and I realize that by commenting on it I am perpetuating it but I am fed up.  I like this forum and used to have a lot more fun coming here but now on a weekly basis there is a depressing nasty thread that has reduced my interest in the forum.

He made a comment about the CXS, I have one and like it but yes it could be more compact, he doesn't say the CSX is lacking, just that he would like it if there was something smaller.

He said he thinks the handles on the 2200 are better than the 1400, I can see why someone might prefer that, doesn't say the 1400 is lacking, just that he would prefer it with different handles.

The SDS drill, another viable suggestion, the current offering might be great but it must not fit his needs and he would like a beefier model.

The impact driver, they don't make one, I wish they would as well.

Carvex - I have one and personally I like it but others, and not just a small group of Festool haters as some seem to think, don't think it is as good as it could be.

18V planer, they don't make one, I don't personally care if they come out with one but there is nothing wrong with him wanting one.

Your own suggestion, that they make stationary machinery, is in almost exactly the same format.

I have seen the work you do fixing up old machines, it is impressive and I envy your talent.  I posted a question once and you responded with an answer that could have been helpful.  It did not solve my issue but it might have fixed the issue for someone else with similar symptoms due to a different cause.  With your skills and knowledge you could be a greater asset to this forum.  However most of the time when I see your posts in threads such as this they are of a dismissive nature.  I don't know what Locks14 has posted in the past but what was posted here did not deserve the response quoted above which seems like nothing more than a petty personal attack.  I know you don't mean to but it very well could be these types of comments that cause threads to devolve into garbage rather than thoughtful discussions.

Here is my list of what I would like Festool to make:

18v impact driver so I can buy one

A new jigsaw that receives universal love so the Carvex fights come to an end

Stationary machinery for Warner, although then again if they don't he will keep buying old stuff, fixing it up, and posting cool pictures so I might have to remove that.

I like the Domino, and the idea of the Centrotec is good.

These days as it seems like the quality is not universal across most manufacturers range. So therefore one usually ends up with a variety of different brands to achieve the optimum solution.
So I agree that "making everything" is either optimistic, or requires a lot of dedicated effort and budget for engineering design.

A universally adaptable battery system that's compatible with all mainstream 18V brands.

I'm a fan of sticking to what you're good at and excelling, not dabbling in everything and becoming average.

I would like to see Festool bring out a high impact in 18V. I think that's reasonably achievable.

I'd like to see a proper table saw module that fits into both the current CMS footprint and into a new larger CMS table with a rip fence that runs on a proper track. A improved larger CMS could also be a better alternative for a CONTURO module - the existing MFT/3 adaption is a bit Ma & Pa Kettle IMO.

I'm not expecting Festool to bring out the ultimate version of every tool I desire ... otherwise I'd also be praying for a Sys5 format thicknesser too [big grin]

Are you my mother?

Honestly, your opionon of me, does not matter at all.

I contribute what I want to contribute when I want to do so.

-A job site table saw that uses the ts55/ts75.
-Bring back the 15v impact, in case mine dies
-A domino table that uses the domino tool as a vertical/ horizontal machine like a line boring machine

Some more stuff for the CXS batteries to use. Maybe a small jigsaw or something other manufacturers offer in their 12v/10.8v lines.

I would like Festool to make their entire lineup available in North America.

I am sorry to hear that, I was trying to offer some constructive criticism and perhaps I did it poorly but I hope in the future you will take into greater consideration how others react to your comments and whether or not the way you phrase something might be taken as an attack when none is intended.

I enjoy seeing your posts about fixing old machines and wish you the best.

+1 with Steve Rowe and they might want to consider an updated version of the Inca Table Saw with dust control.

Battery powered backpack extractor.

That would be cool.  Even cooler if you could switch it from suck to blow for a jetpack!

Best answer ever.

Meh ... I personally think that the drive into the US has put volume demands on Festool and has led to a drop in innovation.

Interesting thought.  I would have assumed that greater sales would allow for more R&D money. But perhaps they took that and invested it in production facilities.  Another thought would be that with greater volume the production lines they build are larger are more expensive to build so they don't want to change them as often to make a new tools.

I wish they made a larger splinter guard for the TS75 so that it worked at all depths.
