I just used my PS 300 yesterday for the first time and could not figure out how to properly attach the jigsaw to the guide stop with the splinter guard attached to the jigsaw.  It looks as though it is not compatible, but thought I would ask just in case I'm missing something.  I would like to have splinter free cuts while using the guide stop and rail.  Thanks for your help.

We are talking about clear plastic splinter guard that goes into PS-300 sole, correct? When properly inserted it should be flush with front edge of PS-300 sole, so it goes seamlessly into guide stop. You need cut splinter guard with saw blade, so it almost completely covers saw blade.

Victor,

Thanks so much.  Yes, I was reffering to the clear plastic splinter guard.  I thought that the splinter guard was only supposed to be cut just enough to cover the teeth... now it makes sense.  Thanks for the response and I will defintely try that at home later today.

Thanks for the video Shane.  I can definitely see how I was doing it wrong now.  The blade just barely bit into the guard when I set it up.  Just watching the video I can see that it will work with the guide stop since it is flush with the front of the jigsaw.

Thanks again for the help.
