TS 55 and CT36, dust at end of cuts, solved (ish)!

Hey guys,

I have been loving my TS 55/CT36 combo with the boom arm. The CT36 does a good job of removing the dust from interior cuts (and the boom arm is really nice too), but I still get a huge spray of fine dust when I exit my cuts, especially the way I am cutting into sacraficial MDF.

My solution:

At first I was planning on selling my rigid shopvac, but now I think I'll keep it. I can make a cut in MDF without even making a mess on the floor anywhere  8) Besides, I still think my 5hp rigid shopvac moves more air than the ct36.. but it is also a bear to move around and way too loud (and not hepa, doesnt work with bags).  I love being able to clean almost the whole garage without moving the ct36, and its so quiet in comparison. So nice to work with. The rigid is perfect for this end of cut removal.

Quick and easy, nice tip.

That could be especially handy if working in a household where getting every bit of dust  might matter.

yea, the main reason I was so concerned with the dust was I am just finishing moving into this house, and theres alot of random house stuff in the garage (decorations, clothes)... after seeing how much dust was getting on things that weren't even near the cutting, I had to do something to reduce that dust blow out... I blame sacraficial MDF :)
