ts 55 cutting plasterboard

I dunno but on my red saw I used the standard blade and when the hose falls off it is apparent that it was needed.
Just go at it hard.

I would have never dreamed of it if I had not seen it done on the banned video.
After that it seemed to make sense to cut the gyprock with a saw.
Probably 100M of gyprock as a combination of standard and fire-rated, plus another few hundred meters of wood from ply to 7/4.

The blade may not be sharp, so I should probably change it and see if it makes a difference.
It is totally worth it for the time saved and the nice edge, but those who use a knife can also do a good job.
It is when you have only 1/2" to remove where the saw clearly wins.

Score one side with a Stanley knife, bend, cut other side.

How many tools needed just to cut a bit of plasterboard?

I had a soffit job that required 48 12" wide 12' long pieces of drywall. Stacked 12 sheets, marked it at 11-15/16", set the the saw to cut 1-5/8" deep, cut through 3 sheets, mark the 4th at the same time. Had 48 pieces in less than 10 minutes with perfect edges and no clean up.

The TS may not be the answer in all cases, but there are some that no other tool(s) can do the job as efficiently.

I would have to agree in that situation but although I'm no full time boarder I do it from time to time at work and that's a pretty rare situation where you can make batch cuts, its usually a wall/ceiling with several full sheets and the makeup piece to the next corner/wall.
