I just recently bought the ts 55 feq and I can’t get a squared cut. Put saw down on top of table saw and it wobbles when sitting flat. Is that normal?

I assume your are using the Track for guidance?  In order to stay square on the track, I think there is a couple of cams you turn to remove the slack as you push it down the track.

It won’t sit flat on a flat surface? Do you have the green splinter shoe (bottom right of the saw, close to where the blade exits the material) slid downwards? That will cause it to wobble. Loosen the large black screw and slide it upwards. It should only be in the ‘down’ position when the saw’s sitting on the guide rail.

I don't even use the green splinter guard 95% of the time. I keep the clear one that slides freely on mine. It does help with the dust, but you have to remember to push it down when you put the saw back on the track. It will slide up when you set the saw down.

The saw should sit flat, not rocking on a flat surface. I suppose it's possible that the plate is bent?

The saw should sit flat on the raised parts of the metal casting of the base plate. If yours does not and the splinter guard is retracted then either your surface isn't flat or the base isn't flat. In the case that the saw base is out then return it and get a replacement.

Also, the adjustment of the 90 / 45 degree stops on the saw is tricky as they aren't independent mechanisms. Too far on the 45 will push your 90 out. You also need to take care that the saw isn't flexing on the opposite pivot when setting the adjustment.
