Hi all, hope someone can help.  My TS 55 REQ was dropped on the floor and the housing holding the vacuum hose swivel was broken.  I ordered a new part and have dissembled the saw down to the hinge pin holding the motor to the housing.  Can anyone advise how to remove this pin?  Is it pressed in?  Can I press it out?  Please help.  Everything else in the dissembly is straightforward.  Thanks for anyone's response.

Hello,If you mean the thick  metal rod that holds the one housing on to the other, then you hammer it from the sawblade side to the
plastic cover side.It takes 3 good hits then it is loose.I advise you to remove the base plate, and use a 6mm alen key to remove the big
spring because the housing is spring loaded, before removing the pin.

Hi.

First post so please bear with me. Same problem as Ray831 although I have the TS 55 REBQ. The plunge hinge pin does indeed come loose after 3 solid taps with a punch and hammer from the blade side, but in my case it then catches the handle housing and cannot be removed.

Is there a way to get this pin free without pulling the ENTIRE tool apart?
