TS 55 REQ static discharge issue

As a new FESTOOL owner, I am just starting to discover the various subtle issues with some of these tools.  In the last two months I have acquired a CT26, TS 55 REQ track saw, RO 125 sander, OQ 1400 router, MFT/3 and additional accessories such as a 36 mm anti static hose.

In the past few weeks I have had two major cutting sessions in typically dry wintertime Ottawa, Canada weather.  On most of the cuts made with my TS 55 REQ connected to my CT26 dust extractor via a 36 mm anti static hose I was experiencing significant static discharge on the hand holding the saw.

Anyone else have experienced the same problem?

Welcome to the FOG. This was discussed recently HERE

I didn't read all the way through but you might find what you're looking for.

As was suggested, test your outlets to make sure they are properly grounded. Also, there is a known issue with some Oneida Dust Deputy models that was causing static issues due to lack of proper grounding, when combined with our tools.

Welcome to the forum.
