Hi i recently bought a ts 55 req plus can someone tell me how to reduce some chips or reasons why you get small chips when cutting melamine sheets

On the top or bottom of the workpiece?

Are you using the splinter guard and guide rail, and did you pre-trim it? Which blade do you have fitted, and how old/worn is it?

I have the older version (TS 55 EBQ) and it cuts most melamine without chipping.

You might want to try and sandwich it or tape the edges if it's particularly brittle, but I can't recall having problems getting nice neat chip-free cuts with the standard setup, unless the melamine is poor quality, but there's not a whole lot you can do about that.

You may want to score the material by going a mm or 3 deep first, then back up and do full depth.
That way the blade is running in/out at shallow angle, rather than going straight up.

I am assuming it is not the back side of the blade going down, but you could do some test cuts where you stop every 6" and inspect it.

As mentioned the better melamine is less prone to it.
