TS55 and TSC55 indoors.

I recently invested in a cordless Carvex which as I've got used to I've started to really enjoy using, love the lack of cables with such a portable tool and as I don't tend to use extraction with the down-cut blades I use I have no issue with vac hose getting in the way.

The TSC I'm not sure on, don't get me wrong it's a great bit of kit and if I was on site where power is an issue or even if I was cutting outside a lot I think it would be absolutely ideal.

I work most of the time doing fitted bedrooms and a few kitchens (not many kitchens these days) in residential homes. Because of this unless I've just got a few cuts to do I tend to use the TSC with my Midi vac which means I'm connected to the hose anyway. I'm beginning to debate whether I should of just got the 240v TS55 and at least the Midi would work on auto...at the moment I flick the Midi on/off manually. I know you can get remote sockets etc to get around this to a point but it's not as seamless as switching the saw on and the Vac starts.

Anyone using a TSC55 inside on residential work? Are you using a CTL with it?

I'd love some feedback on this, would you choose a TSC55 or a TS55 if most of your work was residential bedrooms where power is available?

For me I love the lack of cable and hose when I just need a few quick cuts but I find myself wondering if I'd be better with a TS55 when I've a lot to do and I'm hooked up to the CTL Midi anyway. Pros and cons.

Thanks.

I've used the TSC 55 in finished homes with just the bag.

The "C" has the same problem as the corded unit along edges, without the blade trapped dust escapes.

You must be mindful of emptying the bag.

A video from when I first go the saw, you can judge the dust for yourself.

Tom do you use your TSC mainly now in customers homes or do you still reach for a TS and vac on bigger jobs?
I think the dust collection is adequate with the bag for a few cuts but any more than that I think the benefit of a CTL Midi or other vac starts to show.

My hesitancy to become too dependent on an 18v battery platform (I just donated all my older cordless drills to Goodwill, due to age and evolving battery technology), has decreased my excitement over the TSC 55 saw.

I think this video is going to help sell many corded TS75 saws.  For me, going without dust extraction is like going back in time.  In addition, while my eyes see the material being cut, my ears tell me the saw is underpowered (at least on solid wood)

My next purchase will be a saw, but unlike the 18v drill that I love, the TSC 55 saw is a non-starter for me.  While some will say the TS75 is too heavy, I just remember it will spend most of it's working life sliding down a rail.

Can't say I've found the TSC underpowered but I only really cut 15mm & 18mm chipboard and MDF, very little solid timber. I just begin to wonder if I might be better with the standard TS55 and the auto on/off with the Midi.
