TS60 hypothetical

“Have you ever used a TS75? That should be enough of a reason not to call it a "single saw solution". They are apparently filled with lead somewhere  [big grin].”

The 75 replaced the old 65 and yet it weighs the same as the 65. So, they took some lead steel out.

I’ve worked at the MFT for days using the 65 before the 75 came along. You get used to the weight.

[member=63474]grobkuschelig[/member] I honestly don't know - I never measured it. Very interesting point you've made though, Uli. The UK website states '60mm' on the product features, but '62mm' in the technical specification. You may well be quite correct. I'll make a rail cut at maximum plunge depth at some point and report back.

I know. But looking at the 3Ds on the Festool website it looks like it, to me:

So you can set the depth stop to beyond maximum depth? Ok.

Trade TS 75 for HK 85; then you have two saws that aren't so close together  [tongue]

TS 60 manual says 57mm on rail, 62mm off rail. Why they call it the 60 is beyond me.

TS 55 manual says 51mm on and 55mm off.

Probably the same reason my 798 cc motorcycle was called an F800 and my 1085 cc motorcycle was called an R1100...  people in Germany must like round numbers.

If it was Italian, it would probably be an SI 62 (Saga a Immersione), a la Ducati 1098.  [big grin]
