I know, I wouldn't lend out my Festools either, EXCEPT to another Festool user. Here's my problem - I have a TS55 and rails (many other Festools too), but I'm cutting the 3 degree bevel on the latch side and trimming 6 solid poplar interior doors and I've discovered my TS55 won't cut through. I'm probably 1/2" short. I'd love to just get it cut in one swipe instead of cut, hand cut, and plane. SO, I'm asking if anyone in the central Ohio area would loan me a TS75 for a few days. There would be a fine micro-brew beer of your choice at the other end. I would do the right Festoolian thing and just buy one, but I'm not doing doors again.
OK, I'm ready for the lashing....
*Note - I'm using a Lie-Nielsen butt mortise hinge plane to let in the hinges. It works great.
Thanks, Kevin
Not sure if borrowing post is even allowed.
