Is the TSC 55K (specifically)  on the way to the US soon? Can't get any info from the usual vendors on the TSC 55 or the new 55K.

So, I ask - Availability date?

Thanks.

I've been told by Burns Tools that I'm fourth in line for the TSC 55K that I ordered on 2/9. What that means for delivery, who knows? I seem to recall Festool was supposed to release it on April 1st, but that could be bad memory kicking in, or just being hopeful...

Note: I actually ordered the TSC 55, but it went out of stock and will be the K model.

[member=75208]Chainring[/member] - I guess you must have called Burns because there is nothing on their sight about pre-ordering these.

I'm working in one part of the world where cell phone reception is unavailable so can't call during the work day until maybe the end of this week.  [crying]

Thanks for the reply - good to know that they are coming - though no one seems to know when.

No, I placed an order for the TSC 55, knowing full well it was probably going to be either delayed or replaced due to the TSC 55K introduction/announcement by Festool International. After almost a month, I emailed and asked point blank if I'd be receiving the TSC 55K and they confirmed I would be. If I were to guess, they can't put up the TSC 55K because Festool US hasn't officially announced it yet.

For the day or so it was active on Festool US, this is the link that worked.https://www.festoolusa.com/products/sawing/track-saws/577008---tsc-55-kebi-plus-f-fs-us

If you can, get the older version. It's made in Germany, whereas all new cordless tools are made in China. This was brought to my attention by my dealer.

I personally wouldn't use this as a deciding factor as Festool's name is on saw either way and I would expect the same level of engineering and QC to go into the machine regardless of where it is manufactured. Now, reality may not live up to my expectations, but that is the way it *should* work. :)

Please stop spreading unconfirmed rumors. The new TSC will definitely not be produced in China.

It is possible/likely it is being made at the TTS plant in Czech Republic which was recently expanded and the production will stay there long term. That is about as far from China as the TTS head office in Wendlingen is.

(nothing against china, but this claim is simply false in this case)

To answer my original question I just spoke on the phone with a FESTOOL rep and was told that back orders for this, among other tools in production, will be no less than -  20 WEEKS - that is to say - end of August at the earliest.  [crying]

Another victim of the COVID. She said - "if you are interested, get in line because orders are stacking up".

Wow, sounds like by the middle of the year the shelves could be bare. And I am sure that is affecting everyone not just Festool.

Not happy about the situation but it bodes well for those looking to sell used equipment. Should keep resale values up.

Such irresponsible remarks.  Wind your neck in, please.

I visited my local Festool distributor here, to see for myself if this was the case.

There is no such indication on the TSC 55K saw I inspected.

As already requested by others, stop spreading misinformation.  It's not helpful, in the least.

Regarding the rumor about Festool cordless machines, not a single Festool machine is manufactured in China. We'd be happy to clarify this with your local dealer.

Good to know....

On the other hand, I won't be able to make a fortune by selling any of my used Made in Germany tools anytime soon. [big grin]
