turbine for CTL 26 E.

Maybe someone knows something more about the engine (motor, turbine) in the CTL 26 E (Domel 467.3.414). Does it have any internal protection? When tested with an ohmmeter it shows a break in the circuit. Brushes in good condition. Rotor too. Thanks in advance for any information

Are you 100% the brushes are OK ?

Festool uses safety brushes that break the connection mechanically before they are used up.

That said, the motor head is rated to about 3-4k hours use, 3-4 brushes sets. Then needs to be replaced as the bearings are run down and it cannot be re-balanced. If something broke before that, just put in a new motor unit. It is not that expensive even as an original spare part.

But if you did not replace the brushes yet, that is the first thing I would do. Worst case you will have spare brushes for the future.
