I made these for a client. Curly maple, polyurethane, pvc glue (decks), hide glue (joints). 10mm Dominos used in all joints (some single, some double). 16 "Buttons" each hold the tops and bottoms to frame, but allow for expansion. Used OF 2200 and drum sander to flatten decks (the router was faster), planer (tersa knives) for panels (some minor tear out), ETS 150/5, RS 2 and block sanders (Prep'n Weapons) to finish sanding. OF 1400 and 2200 and table router for edging and grooving.
Finished (poly-u cut 3:1 w/mineral spirits, wiped on, 4 coats) the frame members prior to assembly and used hide glue on the mortise and tenon joints. This was done to allow more assembly time and to ease the clean up of the squeeze out.
