UG-CSC-SYS | 18V Portable Table Saw Underframe

Just purchased the 18v Festool Table Saw package -- Looking forawd to using it in the field . . . . I want to transport it on my Yakima Overhead Rack so I will need to build a couple rails to extend the Underframe length from 42" to 48" to match the rack rail span. Has anyone else done this?

I just visited the Yakima site.  Which rack do you have?  I don’t see any labeled “overhead”.

In my mind, it is more logical to modify the carrier than the saw.  I have made excellent modifications using nothing more than a swimming pool noodle and a bungee cord. 

Also, Yakima might have accessories that would accommodate your saw. 

In any case, I would take a long look at the carrier and what could be added to accommodate the saw, rather than modifying the equipment.
