I bought the UG set about a year ago . the job i was on at the time, the saw was setup and just stayed in the same place  and i liked it , the saw folds down wheel it to the van just outside the garage and lift her in, Job Done !! But after going round other jobs with it i soon got sick, rolling it over  rough ground even some block paving seem to knock the lasers out and i was having to set them up again. trying to get it up steps or worse  stairs is awkward on your own, carrying the saw on the stand is too, take the saw off the stand is easier but you need to keep one foot on the stand to get the saw back on or it just whats to tip over.
you need to level the stand then each leg each time you set it up or even if you move it a foot or so, pull on a air hose or a cable and knock the legs and that's them moved .
however i do love them wings, nice and strong, accurate stops ,GREAT !!

I made a stand a few years ago and then altered it to take the kapex when i got it, but it was a bit heavy and don't fold that compact but set up real quick and the
tables where always level didn't matter what the ground was like. (that's the first pic) so i thought that's the way to go

I always liked the Dewalt stand in the way it has a beam that folds nice and compact just never like the pull out supports on them

so i got a dewalt stand and used it with the wings less the legs from the ug setup and its turned out great, setup is quick and easy the wings are bang on level with the table and fence of the saw i can move it or knock it and it stays the same ,and the whole thing is far far more ridged

i had to make a block the extend the brackets that bolt to the saw as it sits to far back on the stand . the just drilled a 6mm hole in the dewalt supports that line up with the T slots on the underside of the wings and use a m6 wing nut and one of the square nuts that keep the original legs on and thats it

great job.
i hate the dewalt design too . it suport is never where you want it

Great idea with the combination of the 2 stands mate, I've just bought myself a Kapex 120 but was also wanting to hang onto my dewalt saw and stand for outside and 1st fix work, I was toying with getting the ug set but think this set up could give me the best of both worlds.
