Hi guys

Have a problem with my 2 month old kapex and stand. The right hand side bed does not sit flush with the kapex bed, no matter what I do with alignment or clamping.
Would this constitute a return to Festool? It looks like the shinny metal clamp piece is not sitting flush with the underside.

Is it sitting high or low?  (Low is better than high)  There have several posts here about leveling issues and one thing that is mentioned often is the need to fully mount and fasten the clamp fully after pushing the bracket all the way to the saw.

Thanks for reply... High! So every time I slide work from left to right it hits it.

I can't find the exact image I was looking for, but in the below video at about the 3:15 mark you might want to try that.

Thanks Peter, video doesn't help. On looking further at my stand, the metal plate that is held on with 4 bolts at the front edge of stand. Well the rear of the plate is not touching the stand and that is where my problem is as it transfers the problem to the top. Thinking of undoing bolts and trying to bend it back a little then reattaching it.

Cheers

Daniel's thread showed how I fixed this with my UG.  It worked perfectly and no issues since and I am going on 2 years soon.

Exactly the same issue with my Kapex and UG wings. The left wass too low so I shimmed it up where it fits on and the right was too high so I returned the right wing and gave up on it for now. Annoying but better than having the timber hitting it as I slide it along to the right. Seems the v groove is higher on the right on some kapexs by the look of these posts.

It's too bad that there isn't a good solution to this. Festool is awesome, but not perfect.
