Retirement age and new tools make for interesting times!
I have taken the dive into the rabbit hole of Parfguide MFTs and am having a blast and am quite happy with 0.016 deg accuracy on my first try.
However there is one thing that is driving me nuts. The metal springs on my brand new UJK Rail Clips fall out of the plastic slider every time I even think about moving my track.
Every cut involves a frustrating dance of putting them in and trying to get them back over the bench dogs without them falling off again. Which is a shame because when they are on, they work very well IMHO
Is this an inherent issue with this particular style of clip and I need to get used to it (or change methods)? Or is this unusual behaviour for the clips and I have a dud pair? Looking at how they are designed, I suspect it is the former but I thought I would ask.
I am aware of the Stanton/Millard type of rail clip but I really liked the concept of the "hinge" in the UJK style.
Thanks in advance for any feedback or guidance you might have
