Good Afternoon

So, I've made the assumption that if you are looking at this, you already own a Festool tool and you hopefully bought it after 2010?

Also, most importantly, you or your Festool dealer has registered it for Service All Inclusive and therefore have your name on the Festool End User database (If you bought it from us, relax, we did it for you).

Good, carry on reading then, if not, then please look away.

Just got this email:

'We are pleased to announce a new voucher campaign that we are sending directly to end customers who registered tools after 2010 which could save them up to £225 on tool purchases. The voucher will be printed and sent out to our customer database during the first week of May and the voucher is valid from May 1st 2016 until 31st July 2016. The voucher consists of three discount stages depending on the value of the purchase and is only to be accepted on tools orders. Accessories and consumables are not included.

END USERS CAN SAVE UP TO £225 WITH A FESTOOL PROMOTIONAL VOUCHER

The discount stages are as follows:

£50 discount on a spend of £500 or greater including VAT (10% discount)
£100 discount on a spend of £800 or greater including VAT (12.5% discount)
£225 discount on a spend of £1500 or greater including VAT (15% discount)

The voucher is not valid for online purchases and must be redeemed with Festool dealer partners. There is only one voucher per person per transaction permitted and this voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other vouchers. The voucher is inclusive of VAT.'

Not bad eh?

Best regards

Warren

Interesting promotion that rewards past purchasers if they are looking to expand.  Hope that this forward thinking makes it over to other countries as well  [big grin].

Certainly a smart promotion and certainly something Tootechnic Oz would never do ...

Thanks for the heads up warren.

The promotion is lovely if you are about to make a purchase, but for me it's not quite enough savings to make me buy something I wasn't planning to buy right now. Despite having future purchases penciled in my mind.

The free battery offer was enough to make me pick up another bare drill however. So I appreciate these offers from festool.

so i have just spent very very close to £1500 on a CMS GE, OF insert, TS insert (TS55) and a sliding table...... i am tempted to return it all under the 15 day deal and just go down to axminster and buy it in person once the voucher arrives.... alternative is i could get the DF700 i have been lusting after but i have less immediate need for that given i have the DF500

Looks like to me [member=13058]Kev[/member],  based on our Australian experiences with Tooltechnics Aust and the ACCC,  that Festool UK might be trying here to aliviate any shop front dealer concerns re on line discounting!?

For shop front sales, does this voucher only apply to customers who pay the full recommended retail price of Festool UK or to all customers, even those that get an in store discount?

Nope, the price you pay for the machine(s) is not a problem. You are just paying for part of the order with the voucher, that the dealer then redeems with Festool. Simple, effective discount for the end-user over and above the deal with the dealer.

Very glad I just read this, I was just about to collect a Domino and a router tomorrow!!!

Will wait until the voucher is valid

Do you think my dealer will mind if i return an unused drill I purchased on Friday , so I can repurchase making the most of the voucher?

This would push the deal above £1500, I am purchasing a lot more, but I assume the CMS stuff doesn't count?

The CMS-GE, MFT/3-VL and the CMS inserts are classed as "machines" because they have a serial number so should be eligible. The tables and fence etc. are classed as accessories and will not be.

I am not having a good year

Purchased an industrial vortex extractor from a well known company based in the West Country two weeks before they dropped the price by £450

Bought a vac sys on Saturday to discover if I had waited a week I could have saved £100 with a voucher from Festool

Please would someone kick me in the ***** so that the third bad thing has happened and I can then relax again

Thats really good news!! i will hold off, £225 is a decent amount to save!

Hey Warren,

Does that mean I can cancel the CMS VL I bought from ya Monday and wait until next week to buy it?

I haven't taken delivery of it yet?

No discount at all if you don't spend £500 so the MFT/3-VL on its own wouldn't qualify anyway.

As Garry says, no dice on that order I'm afraid. However, ping over that order for the CS70 Precisio and you'll save loads!

Hello, if a tool is registered after 1st may (say tomorrow 3rd May) will that person my dad) also get a voucher?

A question for Festool UK really, but I expect the mailing list of names and addresses was sent to the printers some time ago. Also there maybe a cutoff date on the voucher. We'll need to see one to check though? Anyone got theirs yet?

[big grin]

Mine arrived today!

So the question is what to buy!

I currently have the following:

TS55 2 x 1400 & 1 x 800 rails, OF1400 (inc rail kit), Domino 500 inc extras, CXS

I definitely would like to get a CTL Midi but other than that I don't know what else I would find really useful. Thinking about a sander but I have a Bosch (Green) ROS would the Festool be much of an improvement?

I am also considering a Kapex but that's a lot of money for an amateur.

Is there a paper catalogue produced anywhere?
