Hello
Has there been a January price increase for Festool kit in the UK?
Just looking on ffx and powertool-supplies and the prices of kit seem to have gone up a bit.
I added a mft/3 to my basket last night and returned to it today and its up about £30 on pt-supplies, Also got a domino df500 a couple of weeks ago for about £542 and it's now £571 on ffx, same with the extractor i got is now up about £50.

So is it an increase across the range or?
Should have clicked the order button for the mft/3 last night  [blink]

Thanks

There have also been some price rises down here, particularly MFT accessories. For example MFT replacement tops went from A$160 to A$358.17 on Jan 1. Hardly subtle!  [eek]

Although Australian doller has fallen in recent months from parity to around 81c against the US doller, it has not fallen against the Euro ranging around 68-72c.

Domino 500 now only available in new kit release with trim and cross stops. Price seams comparable with 2014 but hard to confirm as now no 'tool only' or deal with Domino Systainer listed on AUS site.

Items I constantly monitor such as Kapex and PD20 appear to be same as 2014.

Not sure if festool have increased their  prices , but ffx prices go up and down all the time.  Don't know how they work out the pricing but I have noticed  that they do vary from time to time and not just for festool stuff

Thanks guys
Yes i should have, gone in the huff now lol  [big grin]

Think i will mate.
I know prices have to go up sometime, Hard enough as it is trying to convince the mrs lol
Cheers [big grin]

Happened to me with FFX, rang them and experienced what could only be described as a "telephone blank face" when I asked if they could do it at the price I had added it to my basket the night before.

PT Supplies have been a lot friendlier, but do let me know.

Shall do mate, FFX are £100 more for the full mft/3 setup  [eek]

One of the downsides of a strong £

That would make goods imported from the euro zone cheaper not dearer..... A strong pound makes UK exports dearer. [doh]

Good Morning

List prices are nearly always adjusted on the 1st of January every year. Many have gone up by a few percent, some much more, see my post on the Edge Bander. Some have been reduced, like the T 18 cordless drills, partly for a realignment of the whole cordless range.

The cordless range is also subject to a dealer offer at the moment so look out for some very special pricing, for the SET, PLUS and new BASIC versions. The BASICs are available across the whole range, consisting of machine body only in a Systainer and are very good value. Our offerings are here:

http://www.toolfest.co.uk/quick-search?terms=cordless%20basic

Also batteries and chargers have been reduced in price by nearly half making it far less painful to add an extra battery to a cordless kit, my next job is to add the batteries to our website, when I do, I'll post a link. In theory there should be no disadvantage to buying a BASIC machine, charger and battery, instead of a PLUS or SET version. I haven't done the maths yet but this is what I understand is the intention.

Dealers are also free to set there own pricing so do hunt around for good deals, overstocks, older versions, drives to hit sales targets etc mean dealers can be keen to shift stock at 'silly' prices sometimes. As we saw with TTS themselves and the PDC drill there are some really good deals out there if you can find them.

Best regards

Warren

Thanks warren

Yes but you are forgetting that Festool is German therefor they get less pounds per euro so they need to up there prices to maintain the status quo

No problem with to delivery to IV, as long as it is mainland, just might take an extra day to get to you. MFT/3's are not in stock though so add a week for it to come in from Germany.  :)

jmac80, i have ordered from Warren a few times.  First class service & really helpful with questions over the phone.  Delivery was quite quick & i am further north than you.  I used to buy from H.I.S but they normally don't have the Festool stuff i want in stock & Warren usually does.

Think i will give him a try, Called PT-supplies today but they couldn't change the price, Was a nice helpful guy though, Just not helpful enough to knock a few pound off hehe.
It's such a pain with all the carriage charges ain't it. I'm in Ullapool btw.
H.I.S i find one day you get an ok price the next day you don't depends who you speak to and what mood they are in even if you have a trade account.

Cheers

[off topic]

Warren i know you are using the details as supplied by Festool. A suggestion here might be to alter the titles of some of the listings.

FESTOOL 500781 Cordless Impact Drill QUADRIVE PDC 18/4

This is adding to the  confusion with newbies thinking Festool make/ made different impact drills.  I do realise Festool themselves probably call it an impact due to the hammer mode on it. I'm just wondering if it can be explained to Festool germany about this by Phil/ Shane etc  [wink]
