Hi Everyone

I know that times are tough and there seems a never ending supply of bad news on the TV and Radio.

Here is something to help cheer you up:

Peter

Thank thank you! This was bloody marvelous, and my kids loved it!

I can see you took some inspiration from Q.I. :)

If you are collecting topics for future episodes, can I propose home schooling?

I would really appreciate as many suggestions as people can muster.

Many thanks for this - stay tuned and stay safe !

Cheers.

I'm just hoping I don't end up having to use my stock of Granat... I was saving that for baby wipes -  although I suppose the fluffy side might not be too bad.

(On a serious note though: don't use paper kitchen towels... the stuff in the UK at least doesn't break down so readily in water and causes blockages.)

Great stuff.

Yes, I put a reminder about kitchen paper in the video description - in retrospect I should have said it in the video but at that time I made the silly assumption that everyone knew this.

Cheers.

There’s got to be something we could use with the right angle attachments and out FT drills...guinea pig taped to a stick?

I seem to remember one of [member=3513]PaulMarcel[/member] 's videos where he was extracting the odour from his nether regions after drinking large quantities of beer. Perhaps Paul could adapt that extractor technique, maybe using the vacuum brush attachment, to do a good job !

Cheers.

I'm sure there will be vast quantities of Izal bog paper left over from school toilets in a warehouse somewhere.
That stuff was harder than a heavyweight boxer, it didn't take crap off anyone.
As a person who was a kid during the 70s I still have the fear over thst scratchy stuff.

[big grin] [big grin]
I’ve now seen most of your videos Peter, I noticed you had a sense of humor..
But now, it’s confirmed!
The sponge, that sponge.. I can’t get it out of my head [scared]

It must be.. “Keep calm and carry on!”

I remember it well - I cannot imagine how we all survived.

The sponge is a genuine bit of history. The Romans were an advanced society and had communal lavatories but, of course, there was no paper.

Using the guinea pig may deplete your potential food supply... but those very small paint rollers might do the trick?

The aforementioned Izal toilet paper was one of the earliest applications of non-stick surfaces (even the nominally rough side...).

The 16th century French satirist writer, Francois Rabelais, in his seminal work 'Gargantua and Pantagruel', concluded (after exhaustive experimentation, pages and pages of it in fact,) that the ultimate ar$e wipe was the neck of a goose.
However, geese can be quite feisty and I'd suggest that trying to catch one in the wild might dramatically, and urgently, increase one's need for that neck - so you'd have to work fast... Probably easier to use the book.

I oppose your last sentence of 'do whatever your governments tell you'.

Fuck no, never stop to question authority.

Keep safe.

I have to toss in a plug for Festool here. Because of the excellent dust extraction, I can do woodworking (as long as I use Festools) without a mask; and since decent masks are pretty unobtainable STILL (no excuse for that IMO), that makes the extra $$$ for Festools worthwhile.

Filters are out there: LINK
They're just a lot more expensive now. But still not too bad.
