Click the different links in this link for more info:: The pictures are big so they use some time to load

i can see the drill and a jigsaw pic uploaded, no pics in the link work tho,

i do hope that the belt clip is an accessory to the battery not built into the drill, i want one for my t15

Pretty.  But I have a dumb question.  If I am in a place where I would need a cordless jigsaw, how am I going to power my dust extractor?  [scared]

I also had problems viewing the pictures in the ifdesign.de website in Internet Explorer, but they were fine in Firefox. So if you're having problems, try another browser.

I have to rush out of the house at the moment, and if no-one has sorted the problem and managed to upload pictures that work in Internet Explorer, I'll do that when I come back home.

Very nice spotted, itsmehc !

I hope you can get them as 'body only' versions since I already got the T15.

For those who can't see the pics, I reformatted them:

Yeah I'm not sure about a cordless jigsaw. I only pull my cordless Dewalt jigsaw out if I'm making a few cuts and I know I won't need to clean up the dust afterwards. If you're going to have dust extraction hooked up to the jigsaw then what's the purpose of having it cordless? It would seem that you would just hook up a corded version.

The base is the same on all the different jigsaw models, probably just making festool save some money on development

Thanks for posting the pics and links guys.

I use my Makita cordless jigsaw a lot. It's great for rough cutting
long stock and the debris from a jig saw isn't nearly as much a
nuisance as dust from other higher speed cutting tools so it isn't
much of a problem to use it without dust collection.

That said, I often grab a vac hose and hold it alongside the jigsaw.
That way collection is more effective and the stiffness of the hose
doesn't affect the cut path. I do the same with the Trion, it's too hard
to steer with the hose in back and the dust collection isn't that good anyway.

However, these new Carvex jigsaws have a totally new design
for the base and dust collection path. It looks like they decided
to design the base around the needs of dust collection rather than
cram dust collection into the existing base. The dust collection looks
like it might be worthwhile now but the reluctance of the hose to follow
might still be an issue. I hope they provide an especially lightweight
and flexible hose.

With the new base design it isn't clear how the base can be angled
for bevel cuts. Anyone know?

The shots of the corded versions weren't up when I posted my comment.  So I am assuming they both use the same base and that the dust extractor attaches like the OF 1400 router dust extractor.  If that's the case, then okay, it makes sense.

But now the $64,000 question - Can you see where you are cutting easily?

Several holding positions, new driving gear that is 40% more efficient, 30% lighter then other brands, sawblade stop within 0.5 sec in the "highest position", build in light.

I'm trying to find out what the "Carvex system" means...

Stay tuned.

Me too. I really, really want a removable belt clip. I'm guessing that's a light on the from of the new C12/C15. I bet the new Li-Ion batteries won't work with the old C12s just like the T+3 series and the old T models.

I'm hoping the new Li-Ion batteries are all compatible. Check it out the Carvex batteries are labeled "BPS 15 Li" like the T15's. Although they are clearly slimmer, maybe just a smaller amp hour battery. Note the C12/C15 don't seem to have the "Li" at the end of the their labels like the Carvex and T+3 series batteries. Since we can't see the battery label behind the belt clip I guess we won't know until more pictures surface.

Before the speculation about the name "Carvex" gets out of hand: The name does not come from the English word (wood) "carving".
That means you won't be able to (wood) carve with the saw.

The name is derived from skiing: You can do tight turns with carving skis without a lot of effort.

There you have it. Thanks Christian.

Using the T15 is quite addicting. Against my expextations, I think I'm in the market for a second cordless drill. So if the price is reasonable, ......
