..::UPDATED::..New Festool C15, C12 and CARVEX

Welcome Dutchman.  Don't worry about your English, it is good, much better than my Dutch anyway  [wink]

I keep asking my dealer about the c15 drill & they still haven't heard of it.  I find that quite bizarre as you have already ordered yours.  I hope it will be realeased in the UK the same time as Europe  [eek]

because we are a premiun dealer in The Netherlands we are allowed to pre order the new machines :D

i can't wait to have the new jigsaw in my hands.. :D ( i wanted to buy the TRION myself, but i think i will buy The CARVEX now ) e very new and cool thing on the CARVEX is that the rear end of the tube model can turn left and right so it allows you to come in narrow places..

By this do you mean the plugit end (where the cable is attached)? Or a different feature? (from the picture it looked like it could only move up)

From the description I understood the carvex still uses the extra sawblade guides like the trion, do they now have toolless adjustability?

I like my trion, but I hate the adjustment with the tiny key (and that you shouldn't use the pendulum motion when the guides are set)

Hi there,

- RO190 ( i hope that this machine has the same principal like the Fein Multimaster (if you know what i mean).

I think I know what you mean I use my multimaster all the time and think its brilliant for sanding  lol I love it for sanding pencil marks off heehee!  Good for gettin into corners where doing by hand would takes years!

if you mean the plate that touch the material, the answer is YES  it comes whit a fastfix and a variety of different pads for different surfaces. And about the plug it end i don't know for sure if it moves upwards or left and right, when i now think about it upwards should be a lot easier when you work in smaller places like a cupboard or something.

I?m very intersted to work with the new C15, too.
Have anybody used the Carvex yet ???  Can it be such a pretty good jigsaw like the PS300 ?? [wink]
I heared about big quality probs in producing, very festool unlike and the Carvex should have short durability rates by working hard.
So let us wait for more resonance, I personally love my PS300, worked and worked through miles of wood !!!

hi joe.

nobody has used the carvex yet, as it is not for sale anywhere yet.

where did you hear festool had problems with production and durability?
not even dealers would know about these problems....

regards, justin.

Thanks for the reply.

I meant the little arms (zaagblad geleiders). With the trion you need the little key to adjust them close to the blade, they should help keep the sawblade straight, but you have to adjust them everytime you change the blade, and you have to adjust them to a looser setting if you want to use the pendulum action. (Bosch has a similar feature, but on the bosch it's toolless adjustable)

BTW nice to see Dutch dealers on the forum. (Where in Holland are you located? I buy most of my festool stuff in Eindhoven)

In the name of the Good Lord...I can't wait anymore!  [crying] Bring me those new models now!

I've searched everywhere for some specs on the new carvex. My local tool pusher (who happens to be one of the most selling Festool dealers in Denmark) knows absolutely nothing about the new products. Well, he knows they are coming but nothing about features and details. Bugger it!

Does anybody know if the new Carvex has a blower function to keep the track clear from dust?

I'm going to buy a new jig saw and I want one with blower function. So far I have spent nights sleepless (only slightly exaggerated ;)) trying to decide if I should buy Bosch GST 135 CE or Makita 4351 FCT...and suddenly there is an exciting newcomer from Festool. Hmmmm! [tongue]

Kind regards
Henrik

hi henrik and welcome to the fog.

i am pretty sure the new jigsaw does not have a blower.
i have no idea why festool has not included this feature on the new jigsaw.
maybe another company has a patent on that feature.....

regards, justin.

My Trion does not have a blower and I must say it doesn't bother me in the slightest I can still cut to a line does it really bother all you guys that much

lee

My Trion has a blower, unfortunately it only works when I exhale and tends to make me light-headed.

Wouldn't a blower work in direct conflict with DC? My Bosch has blower action and it blows the dust around pretty good. Never quite liked that. Only on rare occasions do I wish the Trion had a blower function.

AAARGGHH i was to late today on my work and just this morning our festool guy was in whit the new machines in a sortlike testfase, and my boss used them today damned when i was earlier at work i used them as well and then post the new features offcourse..

Hi again

Thank you for replying on my question.

(By the way...please forgive me if I "abuse" your language, my english skills are limited!  [unsure])

Justin, I hadn't thought of patent issues since both Bosch and Makita are offering this feature....and probably other manufacturers too.

Lee, My 30 years old Black & Decker did not blow either, and I never missed. But when I bought a Bosch I got used to the blower function so now I believe I'd miss it pretty much if my next jig saw didn't have it.

Holzhacker, The blower interferes a little bit with DC but not enough to annoy me. On the Bosch GST 135 I'm thinking of buying you can switch the blower of which I find quite smart. On the other hand the Makita and the new Carvex offers LED-light which I also find quite smart....so you see it's not easy for me to make a choice!

If only the Carvex both blew and had light choosing would be pretty easy [big grin]

ahhw you mean guiders as far as i heard you don't need the small loseble key anymore. We are located in The Hague it is about 85 miles ( 138 km ) from eindhoven. If you come from schiphol airport it is a lot closer then eindhoven.

Just got a text message from my Festool rep saying the Carvex & C15 will be available from 1st May so i have put an order in for the first C15 he gets  [big grin]  Don't know how much it is yet, but i just gotta have it  [embarassed]
