I got my self an OF1010 a few weeks ago and so far I think I could do with one of the fine adjusters for the side fence but what else is really useful.

I have used many routers over the last 20 or so years but the 1010 takes some getting used to  :) the visibility when using the full dust shield isnt great but I suppose thats what you get if you want nearly 100 % dust free working. I was hanging some internal doors this week and while doing the hinges it was very hard to see the hinge outline while routing, I might try it without the clip off top dust shield next time see if that helps.

Thats interesting about the visibility while doing hinges.  I am going to buy the 1010 for doing door hinges free hand & would be grateful if you would post what it is like without the dust shield.

Cheers, Woodguy

To be honest I didnt even think of visibility when I bought it, I am used to my Elu 96E which is fine but I suppose if you put the dust cover on that you wouldnt be able to see where you were going either. I will let you know, I think it will be much better without the top cover but dont know if it will lessen the dust extraction. The other thing to do is use a jig for hinges but I normally do em free hand just with a side fence.

The "Lid" to the dust cover causes visability issues so i have kept it off.  It is very easy to rout free hand Hinges and strike plate mortices.

The rail accessory works allot better with the Ski

The LR 32 is well documented in Brices material

the Angle arm and copy scanner is becoming a much used and loved accessory.

I would like to see another angle arm that has the adjuster on the far end and the female opening right by the main rail (think opposite of the one made now)

The routing aid is nice but overpriced by about $100.  that is you can make one just as useful for about $100 less including your time.

I'm using OF 1010 with these accessories:
Angle Arm 486052 needs for many accessories, copy ring, edging pate, etc
Edging plate 486058 for additional stability
Chip deflector 486242 for better dust collection with some applications
Fine adjustment 488754
Edge guide 489427, order that goes with Chip guard.
For dovetales and box joint I use dust extraction hood 484453 and old porter cable 4210 (4212)  jig

For mortising I'm using Porter cable's jig, works fine. Lee Valley sells it under different name with three templates and spacers.
