uses for systainers

AlanM, great idea.  I'd like to suggest either this thread be added to the consolidated list, or be "stickied".

I store a bunch of dirt in my Sys2 that I also keep my plumbing stuff in.

Most of mine look like a grab bag of mics. messes.

Very cool thread, love all the innovative ways to cram stuff in to a systainer.

no offence brice but sparkys looks a lot neeter . probable because the sides are deeper.any issues getting the disks out

Sys 2 ( Brice) vs. Sys3 (Sparktrician)

No offense taken and no problems with discs sticking up, if anything they are easier to get out. [thumbs up]

Are those 125's, Mr. Spark?

It looks like yours are 150's, Brice?

I like both of them a lot.

Four trays designed to hold hand tools  (in a systainer 5)

All 4 trays: [attachthumb=#1]

Bottom tray: [attachthumb=#2]

Third tray: [attachthumb=#3]

Second tray: [attachthumb=#4]

Top tray: [attachthumb=#5]

My air gun systainer 4 has:
3-20oz cans, 2-18g nailers, 1-16g nailer, 1-23g nailer, 1-1/4 narrow crown stapler, 1-staper, 1-Regulator, a custom made 10ft hose, and two hangers. no dividers lots of dust and the Allen keys sitting somewhere in the bottom because the epoxy did not stick to the box or to the rare earth magnet, and finally today a lot of red oak router dust because I forgot to close the lid before I cut all my rebates on my outside corners on my panels.

Tomorrow if I remember I'll vacc out the thing and take a photo. (I stole the idea from Seth).

I had my RTS and 125 abrasive Systainers on the job for the first time and you wouldn't believe how many times I opened the wrong box, blue tape field expedient solution. [big grin]

Okay, I wanna see Frank's hand-tool Systainer trays full of the hand tools.  Looks like you have special compartments so I'm wondering if there are special pigeon holes for those nice Veritas skew block planes in there (well, you do know about Lee-Valley, right?  [tongue])

My FOGtainer-2 is full of planes and plane profiles.  Temporary until I build a small hanging cabinet for it.

And the others have to realize that Brice's blue-tape solution was true to form: a label that will come off with time

Here's what I got for my birthday today. Just shoved everything in there for now, will have to put in trays later and will probably line the drawers with toolbox liners (from Sears) as well:

[attachthumb=#]
Bottom drawer: 18 guage Bostitch nailer and tack stapler. If I put a non-swivel fitting on the gun, I can rotate and make more room.
[attachthumb=#]

18 gauge Senco stapler, staples and lots of extra 16 gauge nails on the right (this is why I did this... kept buying more nails cause I couldn't remember where they all were)
[attachthumb=#]

In the drawers, different size staples and nails for each gun
[attachthumb=#]

Top T-Loc/1 has the 16 gauge Porter Cable finish nailer. Still lots of room for related items.
